Timeline

Where Harvest is, and where it is headed.

We are building in the open. Here is the honest state of the work today: the waitlists, the partnerships in discussion, and the path to opening access in cohorts.

Harvest milestones

  1. Now

    The waitlists are open

The three waitlists are live, for producers, for buyers, and for people who want to find Black farms near them. The first cohort is forming. Early members shape how the platform works and get first access as we open it.

  2. In progress

    Partnerships in active discussion

Harvest is in active discussion with the organizations that already anchor Black agriculture, including the Federation of Southern Cooperatives and others. These talks are underway. Letters of intent are in motion. Nothing is signed yet, and we will announce formal partnerships only as agreements are reached.

  3. Building

    The platform we are building

Verified producer and buyer profiles, the quote-and-bid workflow, contract templates co-developed with HBCU law schools, and food safety verification on every listing. We build each piece with the founding cohort, then open access in waves rather than all at once.

  4. Juneteenth 2026

A moment to mark with the founding cohort

June 19, 2026 is a date we want to honor with the members building Harvest with us. We are holding it as a milestone to mark together, a moment to recognize the founding cohort and the heritage this work stands on, rather than a hard promise of full access.

  5. Ahead

    Opening access in cohorts

As profiles, contracts, and logistics prove out, Harvest opens to members in cohorts. Each wave widens the circle of verified producers and institutional buyers, so the dollar stays in the village longer and the platform grows on a foundation that holds.
