The thesis
The supply and the demand already exist. Harvest connects them.
Harvest is the connective infrastructure between Black agriculture and institutional kitchens, built by newBWS. More than 32,000 Black-operated farms work the land across the United States. 107 HBCUs, alongside churches, schools, hospitals, and other institutions, run kitchens that buy food every day. Harvest is the layer that links the two.
The infrastructure of Black agriculture is older than most of the technology trying to replace it. Harvest builds on that heritage rather than around it. When an institutional buyer sources from a verified Black producer through Harvest, the dollar stays in the village longer.
